The Bolesta Center at USF is a non-profit Listening and Spoken Language Center. We are dedicated to teaching children who are deaf and hard of hearing to learn to listen and speak. Research shows that children born with a hearing impairment can obtain the same language comprehension and voice quality as their normal hearing peers and can be mainstreamed into hearing schools. However, success requires early detection of hearing loss, along with the use of hearing aids or cochlear implants and auditory verbal therapy. The Bolesta Center at USF provides children in need with essential therapy services, giving them access to the best possible outcomes. The Bolesta Center at USF is the only independent, non-profit center of its kind in Florida and one of only a handful in the United States.
We are located in Tampa on the USF campus. We accept Medicaid, some commercial insurances, and offer a sliding scale for families who qualify. We turn no family away based on ability to pay.
Help a Child with Hearing Loss
No family is ever turned away from our organization due to an inability to pay. Your donation will help significantly impact children with hearing loss.
